Back in August I was looking at peoples blogs and saw a blog with a great idea. Each kid had a big jar and for every job and good behavior they got a small bead to put in their jar. They could also loose a bead or have the whole har emptied based on bad behavior. When the jar was full they could pick anything that they wanted.
I thought this would work wonderful for Mitchell. We started in September. We got a jar, some beads and his job chart. We also had a list of behaviors that could cause him to loose beads. He struggled at first and was having his jar emptied often. But by December he learned we were serious, and we didnt have to empty it again. It took from the beginning of December until last week to fill his jar. He worked so hard and we are all very proud of him.

We went to Target and Mitchell picked out a $20.00 toy that he had wanted for a long time. We got off easy this time. The next time he fills his jar he wants this.
And a pink one for Gwendolyn.

I think the same thing Mitchell is probably thinking. HIS JAR IS TOO BIG! He figures that for all the work it took and all the months to fill it, it was worth a bigger prize.(Good thinking, and good luck with THAT Mitchell!)
i love the idea. Way to go mitchell!
